Zoom Video Communications, Inc., otherwise known as Zoom, is an American communications technology company headquartered in San Jose, California.'Zoom' is used for video conference and telecommunication.

India said that Zoom is ‘not a safe platform’ and advised government employees not to use it for official work as the video conference service. 'Zoom' app became popular after the worldwide pandemic 'Corona Virus'. Not only in India 'Zoom' has been creating privacy issue in several Asian & European countries.

Zoom has been criticized for its digital hoarding practices, which include its collection and storage of "the content contained in cloud recordings, and instant messages, files, whiteboards" as well as its enabling employers to monitor workers remotely; the Electronic Frontier Foundation warned that administrators can join any call at any time "without in-the-moment consent or warning for the attendees of the call.

The several big companies including Google, Apple, NASA, and Tesla have warned their employees from using Zoom, which has amassed over 200 million users. German and Taiwan have also banned the use of Zoom in their nations. But the firm, with market cap of over $40 billion, has also come under scrutiny — and become subject of a lawsuit — after several of its security and privacy lapses emerged in recent weeks.

Zoom has been trending on app stores in India in recent weeks, too, in a surprise as enterprise services rarely get traction with consumers in the country. Several Indian ministers in India have also tweeted pictures that showed they were using Zoom in recent weeks.

Zoom chief executive has Eric S. Yuan has apologized for the security issues and vowed to prioritize focus on users’ privacy and security over development of new features. The firm recently also recently hired former Facebook security officer Alex Stamos as an advisor.

Zoom is trying to solve the privacy lapses but being a private software company at US and low encryption feature this app is suggested not use for big business but for normal video conference with teachers friends it is quiet good enough.
